Teaching
I teach two classes at the Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University:
Applied Econometrics I and II (94-834 / 94-835), a Masters-level class on causal inference taught from Mastering Metrics: The Path from Cause to Effect. The topics covered in Applied Econometrics I include randomized control trials, ordinary least squares regression, and instrumental variables. The topics covered in Applied Econometrics II include regression discontinuity and difference-in-differences.
Econometric Theory and Methods (90-915), a PhD-level class that covers a wide range of topics, including the M-estimator framework, discrete choice models, selection models, duration and count models, time series models, nonparametrics, and the bootstrap.
I am proud to have won the Heinz College Martcia Wade Teaching Award in 2023.
